Jo Jones
American jazz drummer Jo Jones on stage at Newport Jazz Festival, Rhode Island, IL, 1957. Jones was a band leader and pioneer in jazz percussion, Jones played in the Count Basie Orchestra rhythm section from 1934 to 1948.
