Count Basie
American jazz tenor saxophonist Billy Mitchell on stage performing as part of the Count Basie Orchestra at Newport Jazz Festival, Rhode Island, 1959. Mitchell was a driving force and major influence in the post WWII Detroit modern jazz explosion.
